Give ear to my words oh God
Consider my meditation
Harken unto the voice of my cry
My King and my God
For unto thee will I pray
My voice shall thou hear in the morning
Oh Lord in the morning
Will I direct my prayer
Unto thee and will look up.

Unto thee oh Lord will I lift up my soul
Unto thee oh Lord will I lift up my soul
Oh my God I trust in thee
Let me not be ashamed
Let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Remember not the sins, the sins of my youth
Remember not the sins, the sins of my youth
Oh my God I trust in thee
Let me not be ashamed
Let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Yea let none that wait on thee be ashamed
Yea let none that wait on thee be ashamed
Oh my God I trust in thee
Let me not be ashamed
Let not mine enemies triumph over me.
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him
Oh my God I trust in thee
Let me not be ashamed
Let not mine enemies triumph over me.

One thing have I desired of the Lord
And that will I seek after
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days all the days of my life.
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to inquire in His temple
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to inquire in His temple.

Who is like unto thee oh Lord among gods
Who is like unto thee glorious in holiness
Fearful in praises doing wonders
Who is like unto thee oh Lord?

Thou art worthy. Thou art worthy. Thou art worthy. Thou art worthy. Thou art worthy Lord to take the book and open the seal thereof for thou was slain and hast redeemed us by thy blood. Hallelujah!

When I consider the heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have ordained; my heart fills with wonder, my lips fill with praise, How excellent in all the world is your name.
Cho: How excellent in all the earth is your name, How excellent in all the earth is your name! My heart fills with wonder, my lips fill with praise, How excellent in all the earth is your name!
What is man that you mind him? You visit his son, you give him dominion over all you have done
You crown him with glory and under his feet
You put the birds and the beasts and the fish in the sea
Cho: How excellent in all the earth is your name. How excellent in all the earth is your name. My heart fills with wonder, my lips fill with praise. How excellent in all the earth is your name!

I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being
My meditation of him shall be sweet
I will be glad, I will be glad in the Lord
Bless thou the Lord, O my soul, Praise ye the Lord
Bless thou the Lord, O my soul, Praise ye the Lord
Bless thou the Lord, O my soul, Praise ye the Lord
Bless thou the Lord, O my soul, Praise ye the Lord

It was night, the moon was shining
Serene reflection of the sun
Gentle breezes stirred the water
As a little boat sailed on.
Gently rocking, gently rocking, on the Sea of Galilee
Sleeping servants and the Master, on the Sea of Galilee
Came a wind of fearsome power
Storm and tempest tossed around
Woke the servants who in panic
Cried out Lord, "Awake! We drown!"
"Where's your faith?" rebuked the Master
And to the waves said "Peace! Be still!"
Who is this the servants wondered
Even the winds obey his will!
It is now and ever shall be
As it was since time began
All creation joins revealing
God in the affairs of man
He who holds the world together
And makes the nations bow their knee
Will surely guide the ship you're sailing
On your Sea of Galilee
He who holds the world together
And makes the nations bow their knee
Will surely guide the ship you're sailing
On your Sea of Galilee
On your Sea of Galilee

Oh the path of the righteous is as a shining light
It shines brighter, brighter and brighter
Oh the path of the righteous is as a shining light
It shines brighter, brighter and brighter
Brighter til the noonday
Brighter til the noonday
Brighter till the noonday

He has shown thee, O man
What is good and what the Lord requires of thee
He has shown thee, O man
What is good and what the Lord requires of thee
But to do justly and to love mercy
And to walk humbly with thy God
But to do justly and to love mercy
And to walk humbly with thy God

The Scripture Songs Project was conceived to preserve and make available to the body of Christ the scripture songs that came out of the Jesus People Revival of the 1960s and 70s. Singing the scriptures is a great way to memorize the Word of God and to worship Him using the Living Word. The location of each scripture is included plus the song's words so that you can sing along. In fact, that is the point of the project. You are invited to worship our God with me. My voice is not as good as it used to be but if you sing loud enough that small problem will be covered. Where two or more of us gather in His name, He will be in our midst. This is volume one. We intend to keep the volumes coming to include as many songs as possible. Let us sing with our whole heart.
